跟上次的玩具枪不同，昨晚7:15左右在VP由于家庭不和，老公开枪打老婆。老婆送院后不治。老公已被警察拘捕，居然还是物理系的研究生，不过我不认识。以下是学校网站的报道：

Apparent domestic dispute results in shooting

A shooting occurred in Verano Place housing at UC Irvine on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 7:17 p.m., apparently the result of a domestic dispute. The victim, Rebecca Edwina Benedict, 30,  was transported to an area hospital, where tragically she was pronounced dead. Condolences go out to the victim's family and loved ones.

The lone suspect, Brian Hughes Benedict, 35, was apprehended at the scene and is in police custody. There is no further threat to the campus community. Brian Benedict was a UCI graduate student.

Additional details will emerge as the joint investigation by UC Irvine Police Department and Irvine Police Department proceeds.

UC Irvine Counseling Services is on the scene assisting Verano Place residents, and the complex's community service office may be contacted at 949-824-7976 for related issues. To aid in the investigation, residents are asked to avoid Adobe Circle and Lot 23 on campus.

更新：原来两人已离婚并有一个4岁的儿子。周四离婚判决刚下达。昨晚女方从男方领小孩时发生争执，男方开枪打死了女方。原因可能跟法院判决要求男方每月支付的小孩抚养费比原定加倍有关。
