This is a variant of Christy's version.
The final result will be:
Ingredients (2 servings):
2 pairs of Chinese sausages (about 8oz)
about 8oz of Chinese bacon
some sliced shiitakes (black mushrooms)
0.8 cups of jasmine rice
0.4 cup of sweet rice
1.2 cups of water
4 slices of ginger
1 tablespoon of cooking wine
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
Tools:
a rice cooker
a knife for slicing the sausages and the bacon
Directions:
Add the water to the rice cooker and turn it on.
Mix the 2 types of rice (1.2 cups in total) and rinse it.
When the water in the rice cooker boils, add the rice into it.
Slice the sausages and the bacon. This step needs to be quickly finished before the water in the rice cooker is gone (absorbed by the rice).
When the water is mostly absorbed, add the sliced ginger, sausages, bacon, and the black mushrooms, and the cooking wine into the rice cooker.
The rice cooker will switch to the "keep warm" state automatically. Wait for 20 minutes after that. Then open the rice cooker.
Add the soy sauce in it, mix everything up and serve.
