This is a variant of Christy's version.
The final result will be:
Ingredients (2 servings):
- 2 pairs of Chinese sausages (about 8oz)
- about 8oz of Chinese bacon
- some sliced shiitakes (black mushrooms)
- 0.8 cups of jasmine rice
- 0.4 cup of sweet rice
- 1.2 cups of water
- 4 slices of ginger
- 1 tablespoon of cooking wine
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
Tools:
- a rice cooker
- a knife for slicing the sausages and the bacon
Directions:
- Add the water to the rice cooker and turn it on.
- Mix the 2 types of rice (1.2 cups in total) and rinse it.
- When the water in the rice cooker boils, add the rice into it.
- Slice the sausages and the bacon. This step needs to be quickly finished before the water in the rice cooker is gone (absorbed by the rice).
- When the water is mostly absorbed, add the sliced ginger, sausages, bacon, and the black mushrooms, and the cooking wine into the rice cooker.
- The rice cooker will switch to the "keep warm" state automatically. Wait for 20 minutes after that. Then open the rice cooker.
- Add the soy sauce in it, mix everything up and serve.
