TV is broadcasting this event. I can barely see it outside my apartment, but the smell is pretty strong. The moon's color is abnormal. I'm not sure if it's caused by ashes in the sky.

A wildfire spurred by strong Santa Ana winds is burning out of control in the vicinity of Santiago and Silverado Canyons near the Portola Parkway and the 241 toll road tonight.
By 8 p.m. the flames had burned through Hicks Canyon and were at the edge of Jeffery Road and Portola Parkway, according to Kris Concepcion, an Orange County Fire Authority battalion chief.
Concepcion said there were no reports of injuries or of structures damaged so far and no homes have been evacuated although residents of the Northwood area of Irvine have been advised to stay at home and keep doors and windows closed.
