Thank Erik for organizing the trip, driving, borrowing the telescope from UCI, and setting up the telescope. We went to Black Star Canyon to watch meteor shower, before which we went hiking at Cleveland National Forest. Actually, this place is not a real forest, in my opinion. The cacti indicate that it's more or less a desert.

Although the meteor shower wasn't so exciting as I had expected, the hiking trip was fun, the dinner at Chili's was delicious, and it's very interesting watching Jupiter and all sorts of stars, galaxies and clusters using the telescope.
